Ian was our chef for a hen party, he arrived promptly and the food was tasty and well presented. Unfortunately Ian had left two of the items at home in his fridge (an unfortunate mistake) however he was able to rectify this and still made the lemon possets from scratch. The only other minor blemish was that the menus weren’t exactly as we had discussed, however the bride was still delighted so overall a good experience!

Carola cooked amazing canapes main and pudding for us for a special occasion. Wouldnt hesitate to reccomend! Thanks so much!

I’d rather not put a negative review online but happy to explain here for future reference. We have had 4 similar private chef events in the past and it’s been amazing each time with food that I wouldn’t be able to serve up in such professional style. I asked him to suggest wines that would compliment the menu and that I would buy them but he didn’t respond to that so I just bought random red and whites. Not really an issue with that but strange. The menu he suggested was in Italian and I scanned through it sounded good and I didn’t want to be a pain and ask for any changes. I didn’t notice that neither the first or second course had any veg. The first course was okay, bruschetta. The worst course was the main, it was purely a slice of chicken fillet and sautéed potatoes with a small amount of bland sauce. The potatoes had that stiff ‘re-cooked’ texture. I was embarrassed really as I had 8 guests and actually I could have made a better main course than that. The theme of the menu he said was Italian but there was little taste to the main course. The dessert was half eaten by most as it was a solid coconut panacotta. It was a challenge for the chef assuredly as one of the 8 guests had gluten and cow milk intolerance but overall I felt it was not value for money (£600) and I had to explain to the guests to start eating the main as we were all waiting for veg or garnish of some sort to be added to the chicken fillet sat on the plate with bits of potato. I don’t want the chef to hear my full complaints, he was a nice guy, but I wouldn’t go through yhangry again. One other point was that although he lived only about 10 miles away he arrived 40 mins after his scheduled arrival time so the guests had all arrived before him and we ate later than planned. Andy was brilliant, really fun to have him cook for us and the food was fabulous. Really generous portion sizes and delicious.

Matthew was absolutely brilliant for a 70th birthday party. He created a fantastic menu which catered to everyone’s likes and dislikes, The food was beautifully presented, really delicious and my kitchen was left spotless! Would definitely recommend.

Brad was fantastic. Very accommodating, punctual, polite, friendly. Food was great and all served perfectly and on time. Great experience.
