I was looking for a private chef to cater for 18 guests for my sisters Hen Party and decided to go with Chef Atul. Unfortunately, it was not the experience any of us had hoped for. Before booking Atul I had slight reservations as the communication had not been great. We had spoken twice on the phone but whenever I would send a message to confirm details, it was rare that I would receive a reply. However, I went ahead and booked as I really liked the menu options that he had given and the previous reviews on his page gave me confidence that he would be great on the day. Atul and I discussed timings for the evening and I told him that we would like to sit down for starters at 8pm. There was little communication on the day and I asked on multiple occasions what time he would be arriving to set up and there was no response. I was a little worried at this stage if he would actually turn up. Atul eventually arrived at 8:20pm and then told me it would be 25 minutes before starters were out. This was delayed even further when he eventually brought out the first 4 starters at 9pm, it was another 20 minutes before the remainder of the starters arrived. I was left feeling stressed throughout the entire evening as the courses came out very slowly and all of the guests were getting irritated as everyone was very hungry. This meant we did not sit down and eat together throughout the entire evening. A couple of members of our party went into the kitchen throughout the evening and he stopped them and asked for assistance in the kitchen and help bringing plates into the dining room. It quite clear he was overwhelmed and stressed. I was shocked when he arrived on his own and had not brought any one to help or assist him throughout the evening. It was unrealistic that he could provide a good service for 18 people on his own. Overall, we were all very disappointed with entire evening. Having paid over £1100 for a private chef, I was expecting for him to arrive on time, deliver each course together and introduce the dish. We did not receive any of this. I have paid for a private chef on plenty other occasions that fall under the same price bracket and the chef has always had a 1 or two people helping in the kitchen and to serve the food. The reason that we had booked a chef for the evening was to take the pressure off of myself so that I did not have to cook. I ended up feeling more stressed and frustrated than if I had we had just cooked ourselves. Atul did not end up leaving to go home until nearly 1am as the kitchen was such a mess and he had a lot of clearing up to do. The entire service felt disorganised and unprofessional.

Georgi was excellent from start to finish of the evening. He came so prepared, he was efficient, easy to chat to but also super professional. The standard of food was and presentation was beyond what I’d hoped and I loved that he had us guessing flavours! He explained every dish to us so it just felt like a wonderful experience. Everyone was very impressed. Great to host a party but not worry about the cooking or cleaning. We recommend Georgi!

Chef Cay was fantastic and professional. He was entertaining with my guests and made us delicious food. He was very accommodating with dietary requirements and nothing was too much. Would certainly recommend him and would love to use him again.

What a wonderfully talented Chef!! Antonio prepared the most amazing and tailored menu for my birthday evening. I cannot recommend or thank him and his wonderful waiter Douglas enough!!! 10/10 … Pa the Prawn Pooris were to die for!!

What a fantastic experience from beginning to end. It was our first time using a private chef and it will certainly not be our last. Thank you so much to Federico, he was communicative, prepared and charismatic on the day. He read the room perfectly, was engaging and informative, but also left us to it for us to enjoy the meal as a family. Thank you so, so much. What a special evening.

Tom went above and beyond to make my 30th Birthday special. He cooked everything to perfection and additionally decorated my birthday cake to take the pressure off me so I could enjoy my evening. He was also engaging and entertaining, I would highly recommend him.

We had an excellent dinner prepared by Chef Thomas to celebrate a special birthday. Thomas’ interpretation of our preferences for the evening was spot on and the menu options were very good. Thomas’ communication throughout was timely and helped us feel comfortable and confident. The meal itself was delicious, presented beautifully and the kitchen was spotless afterwards. We’d happily eat with Thomas again!
