Originally from Canada, Chef Ryan grew up skiing in the Rockies, surfing in Southern California and cooking for his family. He has travelled to over 50 countries in his life, working as a professional chef in Canada, America, Thailand, Greece, Germany, France and the UK. He draws on the influences of every place visited and specialises in South Asian, Mediterranean and Modern European cuisines. He was awarded the Certified Chef du Cuisine designation in 2013, which is the highest culinary accreditation in North America. He also had the unique opportunity to work with Chef Jamie Kennedy at his flagship restaurant JK Wine Bar, which earned the title of the best restaurant in Canada. While serving as Head Chef at Norwood's Restaurant, his restaurant was rated among the top 20 in North America. His career as a private chef culminated in 2016 when he became the Executive Head Chef of Consensio, one of the world's highest-rated ultra-luxury private Chalet companies, providing bespoke and Michelin-standard private dining experiences to UHNW clients from all over the world. He brings his treasure trove of experiences from around the globe to a client's home. Sharing his love of food is one of the great joys of his life. Currently residing in Cheltenham, he is surrounded by some of the best local produce and most beautiful landscapes in the UK and considers it his privilege to bring all of that, and himself to one's table.
