Dear Louise, I hope this message finds you well. I want to begin by thanking you for your hard work and dedication during our recent dinner event. It was clear to everyone that you were deeply committed to providing us with a memorable meal, and we truly appreciated your effort and professionalism throughout. That being said, I wanted to provide some feedback on the evening to highlight a few challenges we encountered, which I hope can serve as constructive input for the future. Timing and Course Delays: While we appreciated your early arrival to prepare, the timing between courses was significantly longer than anticipated. For example, the gap between the main course and dessert was nearly an hour, making the dinner stretch much later than planned. This resulted in some guests needing to leave early, which affected the flow of the evening. The absence of your assistant on the day had a noticeable impact on the evening, unfortunately. Beef Wellington Presentation: We understand that challenges with the pastry led to adjustments in the presentation of the main course. While the taste was good, the family-style service and altered presentation weren’t aligned with the original plan, which was disappointing considering its role as the highlight of the meal. Desserts and Preparedness: Similarly, the desserts, while tasty, felt a bit rushed and not reflective of the standard we had hoped for, which at one point you acknowledged as well. Stress and Professionalism: We couldn’t help but notice how overwhelmed and distressed you seemed during the event. While we empathize with the challenges you faced, including the absence of your assistant, it did affect the overall atmosphere. At one point, one of our guests felt the need to comfort you in the kitchen when you were visibly upset. Of course, we sympathize, but maintaining professionalism throughout is integral and reinforced the importance of having an assistant on hand for such events. Finally, I want to acknowledge the effort you made to address these issues during the evening, including your apologies and willingness to offer a refund. It’s clear that you care deeply about your work, and I hope this feedback helps to improve future events. Given the challenges we experienced and the impact they had on the event, I would appreciate it if we could discuss an appropriate resolution. I trust we can come to an understanding that reflects the commitment you demonstrated while also addressing these concerns fairly. Fabulous 5 course meal for birthday celebration, with vegetarian options. All beautifully presented and explained and with excellent suggestions and explanations for wine pairings. Andrew and Fanny were delightful company and we learnt a lot whilst being waited on in the grandest style. Would recommend them to anyone, any time.

Chef Thomas was incredible! His food was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. He was friendly, professional and left the place very clean. He even helped us out with a murder mystery game we were playing. Big thank you!

I highly recommend you book Maria for your next private chef experience. She made 14 different dishes for us at expert speed, everytime I looked over she was doing 100 different things effortlessly. She's very quick to think on her feet for a solution and very flexible to ensure the menu is what you want. All around positive vibes, tasty food and no hungry guests!
