Absolutely every part of our experience was perfect. We wanted to host a secret dinner for my brother’s birthday with everything based around his dream menu and Omar delivered on that idea wonderfully! The initial menu design was so open and collaborative and the final execution of the idea was beyond incredible. Chef Omar really is extraordinarily talented, his food is fabulous and we all said that we would do this again very soon. On top of all that he left the kitchen totally spotless. Fab!!

We had the best experience for a special 60th birthday thanks to Chef Stoyan. Food was cooked to perfection, tasted amazing and the service was spot on. Couldn’t have asked for more and would book again! Thanks again.

Ryan was fantastic. He arrived organised and fully prepared, with everything he needed. The dishes were delicious and ready on time, despite the number of guests (17). The portion sizes were generous; nobody was left feeling hungry.

On Friday 1st September I booked chef Cristi for 13 people for a hen party, and unfortunately the experience was nowhere near up to the standards we were expecting. I hate to complain as Cristi seemed like a nice person, but the whole evening was ruined by a number of things. Firstly he was half hour or so late as he couldn’t find the address, which added stress to the start of the evening as I was hosting 13 people for a hen party who were all arriving around the same time as him. The first course was a choice of either truffled mushroom arancini or Fritto Misto. The arancini was okay, some people finished it and some didn’t, it wasn’t crispy and the presentation wasn’t great. The Fritto Misto was also not nice. We expected calamari, octopus, prawns etc. Instead, it was crab-sticks, sticks of salmon & cod (that we believe came from a bag of frozen seafood), whole lemon slices with the rind on, and broccoli. The batter was not crispy or seasoned. Unfortunately no one enjoyed this dish, especially the deep fried lemons which a couple of people had to spit out. For the main course the first option was truffled mushroom risotto. First of all it looked totally un-edible. The rice wasn’t risotto rice and it was cooked by itself with no seasoning or stock and looked like mashed potato. The mushrooms were again not seasoned and just put on top of the rice, and we weren’t quite sure what the other things on top were. Unfortunately nobody liked this dish at all and didn’t finish it as it was not edible. I will attach a photo for you to review. The second main course option was duck ragu which again was really disappointing. We expected the sauce to be a ragu which is cooked for hours so it’s really rich in flavour, instead the sauce was extremely watery and had barely any flavour, it was very sugary. The duck wasn’t cooked in the sauce and was placed on top of the sauce when serving. The actual pasta portions were HUGE. Enough pasta on each plate for 2-3 people. It didn’t look refined at all and the presentation was really poor. We also had absolutely no explanation for any of the dishes at all and they were just placed on the table. The dessert was okay, but again no one finished it and the bowls weren’t cleared away after. In the description for hiring the chef for the evening it said that we would be left with no mess, but instead I found myself clearing away and washing everyone’s dessert bowls after the meal. Overall I was really disappointed with the experience. I have had two private chefs before who were outstanding, presented the food beautifully and were very chatty and informative when serving each dish. For this evening I hosted I found myself apologizing to everyone at the table as no one enjoyed their meal. We paid a lot of money to have a chef cook for us (£830) and the evening in no way reflected the cost. I re-read Cristi’s bio after the evening and unfortunately I find it very hard to believe he has worked at the restaurants stated. Again, I would like to add that as a person Cristi seemed very nice, but unfortunately we did not enjoy the evening at all. I couldn’t say to him at the time as there were 13 people there and it would have made for a very uncomfortable end to the meal, I also didn’t want to embarrass him in front of everyone.
