Miyoung designed and cooked a delicious 3 course meal for my wife’s 40th birthday. The food was amazing!! The tuna and salmon was so fresh and great quality as well as being cooked to perfection. Miyoung even gave us a little lesson in how to make dumplings and was fantastic with my 8 year old daughter who was fascinated by having a professional chef in the kitchen! This was a 5 star performance and the perfect celebration.

Extremely happy that Paul was our chef for the day. Couldn't fault him or his food. Paul took everything in his stride and made his job look effortless. Was very engaging with my family, with many of them commenting on what a lovely guy he was.

I booked with Chef Orfeo for a 3 course meal for 11 people to be served by 7:15PM. Chef Orfeo rang me the day before on 20/9/24 to explain that on the day on my event, he had a large wedding event earlier in the day so will be attending a little later for my event but said he will send someone else he described as his "sous chef" to prepare and set up. I was okay with this arrangement, as long as he attended a little later. However, he did not attend at all. I was disappointed with this because naturally, I had paid for Chef Orfeo himself to attend the event. The food was okay. Desserts were excellent. I feel like the sous chef put a lot of heart into it which I really do appreciate. She did run a little late in serving dinner but that is not a big deal at all. However, at the end of the session when she said goodbye to me she told me that she had arrived earlier to ensure she prepared on time, and that I had paid for 2 hours but nevertheless she had arrived earlier in her which she described has her "own time". I'm not sure what she was alluding to here? To be honest, I didn't appreciate this comment at all- firstly, the person who had meant to be arriving to cook for my event didn't even show up, then secondly the person who did was trying to make a point she arrived earlier to the event to ensure she had the meal ready on time. Correct me if I'm wrong, is it not part of the service to include preparation and arriving at whatever time is required to prepare on time? Thirdly, I was under the impression I had paid for an event, not the number of hours of the event. Again, could you correct me if I have missed something here? Lastly, the 11 stacks of main plates, 11 starter plates, 11 dessert bowls and large saucepans, forks, knives, spoons were left on the side for us to wash up after the event. The cook placed 2 saucepans, a casserole dish and large spoons in the dishwasher (which was empty upon her request prior to the event so it wasn't like there wasn't any space). I do not have photographic evidence of this- I'll be honest, I didn't know I needed it, but at that moment in time I was more concerned about my sister in law washing up all the dishes and trying to help her rather than having photographic evidence of the pile of dishes. Please could you kindly clarify whether it is expected for the cook to clear these dishes up, or for the host to wash up. I just also want you to know that at the previous event that I booked with yHangry, the cook had washed up pretty much everything. There were a few bits and bobs to clear up but my partner and I told him to leave it as there was very little to do. We're not afraid to get our hands dirty!

Dan cooked for a group of 16 of us and the food was absolutely brilliant. Lots of the group commented that it was the best Thai food they’d ever eaten. Dan also coped with a less than ideal kitchen setup (the hob at our Airbnb wasn’t working properly) and made it look easy. Really recommend booking with Dan!
