Layla, the West London-based private chef and owner of her private chef business, has been cooking professionally for over a decade. Her unique background, which includes a mixture of Jamaican, Cuban and North African heritage, has gifted her with an immense amount of cultural richness in the kitchen. This, combined with her love of travel, has allowed her to delve deep into various cultures and their cuisine. With a passion for food that began as far back as she can remember, food was central to their culture, and she learned the importance of eating right at an early age. Layla's love of cooking has only grown over the years. Layla's impressive background doesn't end there. She is an entrepreneur who has owned a spa and wellness centre for six years, worked as an art dealer in 20th century contemporary art, and modelled professionally for over 18 years. Her modelling career, which started when she was just 17 years old, has given her a unique perspective on the impact of food on one's life. Layla's love of travel has significantly impacted her cooking. On every trip she takes, whether it be for work or pleasure, she takes advantage of the opportunity to dig deep into the culture and experience the peculiarities of local cuisine. From attending cooking lessons to being invited into locals' kitchens, she has worked tirelessly to develop her craft and bring her unique touch to the dishes she prepares. As a finalist on ITV's Next Level Chef 2023 and a graduate of Leiths School of Food and Wine, Layla is a luxury private chef who is passionate about sharing her love of food.
