Sam and her team were absolutely brilliant and made our weekend away so seamless! Cannot recommend them enough - we are a hungry lot and there was plenty of food to eat that was really tasty and just what we asked for!

I wanted to get in touch to tell you how terribly disappointed we were with an experience we had with a chef last night. We’d booked to celebrate a 70th birthday party and were really let down by the service and the food. Initially the chef had some issues getting to us due to a broken down car - not his fault and he made a huge effort to get to us so we were grateful for that, but it did mean he was late and the evening ran very behind schedule. His communication was not great once he arrived and he gave us timings which he then didn’t meet. We had agreed a 3 course meal, there was 8 of us & we were served pre made food from Tesco for starters; hummus and breads (of which there wasn’t enough of the latter - pretty basic to get right if you’re not making from scratch). The main was disappointing, the meat was completely over cooked and dry and then to finish off, we were left a tub of Tesco vanilla ice cream to serve ourselves. The chef left and didn’t really make much of an effort to clear up after himself either. Having not used Yhangry before I can’t be sure of the standards you demand of your chefs, but what we experienced was no where near what I have seen advertised or expected and if that’s the case, I certainly won’t be using Yhangry again. Honestly, I would have rather cooked myself, it would have been easier and more enjoyable. I don’t like to complain but having spent a fair bit per head on what we hoped would feel like a nice occasion, I was left feeling rather embarrassed and ripped off.

Marcel perfectly curated the menu that we needed for our rehearsal dinner and was flexible on timings. The food was all delicious and the fresh churros were a great touch! Would highly recommend.

I can’t put into words how thankful we are to have found and booked chef Mark for our retreat! The food was absolutely delicious each lunch and each evening dinner with a fun and creative twist on each dish! The food was fresh, plentiful and packed with flavour. Chef Mark was professional yet easy to talk to and he made the whole menu choosing process etc very easy. Our slightly fussier eaters were also very happy with all the dishes and we will certainly be booking chef Mark again! 10/10

Chef Fouad was absolutely amazing. We were all blown away by the food, the service and how much effort he went into creating it all. Even with the train strikes he got to us in lots of time and created the most wonderful menu and dishes for my mother’s 70th birthday. He was also very patient with all the curious children (6 of them!) and even created some food for them as well from all the food he had leftover. And cleaned up everything too! We will 100% be getting him again, we were delighted.
