This evening class, you'll dive into the artful process of creating Sushi; a Japanese cultural and culinary wonder !
You'll learn the traditional techniques and tips that will make your sushi stand out!
Summary of what to expect:
All sushi making equipment is provided in this A-Z comprehensive 2.5 hour tutorial session.
You will receive a printed workbook with in-depth tutorial material for your reference after the event.
We will be spending time exploring how to cook the rice, make the vinegar seasoning and the different types of sushi, before a demonstration of the technique at each stage.
Then it's your turn ! With assistance and tips on how to get the best result.
You'll create the sushi, plate up and enjoy your creations at the end !
To make the experience even more authentic, we will provide a cup of complimentary high-quality sake and warm gemaicha (Japanese roasted rice tea).
Class Menu:
Hosomaki (narrow rolls)
Uramaki (inside-out rolls)
Temaki (Hand roll sushi)
Nigiri (classic topping on rice sushi) - 3 types of restaurant grade toppings provided.
Served with a variety of garnishes and a homemade Nikiri shoryu sauce.
(Please note: The knives used in the session are particularly sharp as this necessary to cleanly cut through the rolls. By signing up for the event, you will responsible for your your own health and safety when using the equipment. )
