Based in Doncaster, Chef Max taught himself to cook inspired by Masterchef Australia and Youtube videos. His influences were chefs like Tom Brown, Alex Bond, Gareth Ward, and Niall Keating. He loves to draw inspiration and then add twists of his own to create something unique. He enjoyed cooking so much that one day he began to practice, gather cookbooks and went to apply for Masterchef 2020. On the show, he simply breezed through to the quarterfinals, wowing judges at every stage. He loves to push himself, so on the show, he did just that, growing immensely through the competition.
He currently provides bespoke private dining events, creating unique experiences. He is really into art hence the plates he creates are so aesthetically pleasing apart from being simply scrumptious! In his free time, he enjoys travelling with his partner and experiencing the cuisines of the world. He takes immense pride in being able to cook and share his food countrywide, travelling from London to Durham, and simply doing what he loves. Also getting great feedback on National TV from Greg Wallace, John Torode and the legend that is Grace Dent was a turning point in his career, heightening his belief in his own culinary abilities, and helping him soar to new heights as a chef.
