RHS Garden Wisley

This garden run by the Royal Horticultural Society is one of five gardens that the trust own. Each one is famous for its outstanding natural beauty. Because of this, we recommend visiting in the first bloom of Spring when are the fresh buds burst into flowers and everything is lush and green. It is of course fantastic to see to see the gardens change through the seasons too.

 

The Lightbox

An organisation for the arts and community wellbeing, the lighthouse provide a strikingly modern space for craft workshops, social events and talks, as well as art exhibitions. The building itself is a sight to see with cutting edge architecture.

 

Shah Jahan Mosque

This Grade 1 listed building is the first purpose built mosque in the UK and it was completed in 1889.  British Indian staff who worked for Queen Victoria used to use the mosque when the royal family were at Windsor. Outside of prayer time, visitors are welcome to explore the inside of the mosque and see the incredible architecture of the building.

 

Horsell Common

For dog walking, this is a huge expanse of wetland, heathland and woodland. It’s a real treat for nature lovers and those fond of walking. It’s a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and a protected site.

 

Brooklands Museum

The museum is open every single day of the year so you can visit anytime (except Christmas Day). It’s an aviation and transport museum so you’ll be able to see planes, trains and cars from across history.
