- What is the minimum spend?
Our minimum spend is £100, with exception of peak days which have a higher minimum spend. When selecting your event date you will see if it is a peak day, what the exact minimum spend is and whether surge pricing applies. If you are based outside London, the minimum spend is £300 + travel costs.

- How long in advance do I need to place my order?
We recommend that you place your order as early as possible to secure a chef for your event and to avoid disappointment, especially for weekends and around holidays/festivities.
- Do I have to buy groceries?
No, we will take care of that. After your booking we arrange the grocery delivery directly to the booking venue. You just need to be there during the one hour grocery delivery window, which we will confirm with you after your booking. You can select your preferred delivery time when placing your booking, however we cannot always guarantee slots for the exact time are available, so please notify us ASAP in case the slot needs to be changed.
- Does the chef bring the groceries?
After your booking we arrange the grocery delivery directly to the booking venue. You just need to be there during the one hour grocery delivery window, which we will confirm with you after your booking. You can select your preferred delivery time when placing your booking, however we cannot always guarantee slots for the exact time are available, so please notify us ASAP by emailing email@example.com in case the slot needs to be changed.
- Do I need to provide cooking utensils?
Yes, the chef will not bring cooking utensils so you need to have all the relevant kitchen equipment for the dishes chosen, which are included in your confirmation email.
- Do I need to provide plates and cutlery?
Yes, you need to have enough plates and cutlery. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for plate rental inquiries.
- Does the chef clean up?
The chef will clean all kitchen equipment used and tidy the kitchen after cooking. The chef does not stay until the end of the meal to clear the dishes and clean the plates, unless you opt for this add on service.
- Does the chef serve the meal?
No, serving is not included by default. You can opt for serving and cleaning up as add on services.
- Does the chef set the table for me?
No, the chef does not set the table. This is ideally done before the chef arrives, so that you won’t have to disturb the chef during the cooking, especially if space in the kitchen is limited.
- Do you provide waiters?
We can provide waiters subject to availability. Please email email@example.com for wait staff inquiries, quoting your booking confirmation number.
- How much should I tip?
Tipping is at your discretion, and by no means mandatory. Tips have ranged from £10 to £100, with the majority tipping between £20-£60.
- What is the cancellation policy, especially given uncertainties around COVID?
Normally cancellations for a full cash refund can be made up until 3 days before the booking. If a booking has to be cancelled due to government guidelines, we would also issue a full cash refund (minus the cost of any beverages/groceries which were already delivered). In case a booking needs to be cancelled within 3 days due to the host or guests feeling unwell, we will issue a full credit refund for future use.
- How do I pick my dishes?
Visit the “Menu” page to find inspiration and book one of our set menus or create your own bespoke menu from the cuisines and dishes we order.
- What if I need to cancel?
We understand that plans can change, so if you cancel more than three days in advance you will receive a full refund. Some exceptions apply, e.g. New Years Eve, Thanksgiving, and other holidays are subject to a stricter cancellation policy.
- Can I change my assigned grocery delivery slot?
Subject to availability. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org to change your grocery delivery window to a time that is more convenient for you.
- What if I miss my assigned grocery delivery slot?
Missing your grocery delivery slot results in a £50 admin fee. Please notify us ASAP and we will try to get the required groceries delivered to you before the arrival of the chef. If you fail to notify us in time the chef will not be able to complete the booking. This will be treated like a same day cancellation and you will not receive a refund for your booking.
- My address is not recognized and I cannot place a booking

- What to do if I did not get a confirmation email?
Please check your spam folder in case you don’t get a booking summary within 5 minutes of placing the booking online. If you cannot find anything in your spam either, get in touch with us as soon as possible via email@example.com to confirm that we have received your booking request.
- Can I use a referral code?
Of course! If you have a friend’s referral code, use it during checkout and you get £15 off your first booking! Once you create your profile you will be able to see your own referral code when you login.
- How many dishes should I order? How big are the portions?
You should order at least 3 dishes across starters, mains, sides and desserts. Most people will order between 4-7 different dishes. Portion sizes vary according to the type of dish – we’ve been told that our portions are on the more generous side compared to eating out. For certain dishes such as lasagne or curries, the portion size will be determined by the size of the equipment you have at home.
- How to book for a group with different dietary requirements?
Book for a lower number of people and choose more dishes, which meet the different dietary requirements. E.g. for a group of six people with two vegetarians: book for four people and make sure to choose vegetarian dishes. Each dish will come in the same portions as the number of people. This means you will have four portions of each vegetarian dish, so the non-vegetarians get to try some also!
- Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes we do, please use the filters to see appropriate dishes. For any other dietary needs such as halal, kosher, gluten free please mention this in the comments section.
- Do you offer halal meat?
Yes we do, please select the option ‘halal meat’ in the course called ‘add ons’ when placing a booking to cover the additional cost.
- Do you cater for kosher households?
Yes we do, please mention kosher in the comments section. Our team will get in touch after receiving your booking and checking with our kosher suppliers. We will then send an additional invoice to reflect the higher cost of kosher meat. If applicable please use the dairy free filter as we cannot guarantee availability of dairy free substitutes for dishes which normally contain dairy.
If you prefer to procure your own kosher ingredients beyond just kosher meat, please mention this in the comments section. After receiving your booking we will then issue you a 30% refund and send you the shopping list, so you can procure all the kosher ingredients.
- Can I opt for organic produce?
Yes you can! Please select ‘organic ingredients’ in the add ons section when placing your booking.
- How many pieces of each canapé are there per serving?
The number of pieces per canape/bite varies, it will be at least as many as the number of people you order for but the exact number varies. E.g. the size of the arancini or could vary depending on the chef. You can mention to the chef at arrival, that you would like the pieces to be bigger/smaller.
- How many pieces of steak or fish fillet per serving?
If you order steak or a fish fillet dish as a main course for your meal, you will get as many pieces as the number of people eating.
- Do you cater for dietary requirements for a single person in a group?
No we do not. If someone in the group is gluten intolerant then the whole booking will need to be gluten free to prevent cross contamination, e.g. all pasta or flour ordered will be gluten free, we cannot just make a single portion gluten free. If a single person in a group is vegan, please make sure you order at least one vegan dish. The dish will come in more than one portion so other non-vegan guests will also get to enjoy it!

Tips are discretionary, but if you are happy with the amazing service and would like to reward the chef, please do tip. Tips go 100% to the chefs.
